A new factory for the production of modular houses will be commissioned in Makhachkala, on the territory of the Commercial Sea Port. According the port's director general Jamal Aliyev, the enterprise is designed to produce up to 300 units per year.

According to the top manager, the construction of the facility is the result of a strategic partnership between the Port and the Chinese company Mantianstar, which was forged during a business trip to China accompanied by extensive negotiations. It is planned to organize the production of capsule houses with a similar capacity - up to 300 units per year - on the site of the Port.

Besides, there is ongoing consideration of possibility to establish an assembly workshop for gantry cranes and overhead cranes produced by the prominent Chinese holding company Weihua within the Port premises. The successful implementation of this project has the potential to significantly contribute to the economic development of the region.
