Dagestan finishes grape harvest with new historical record

During the regular sitting of the Government of the Republic of Dagestan, the Prime Minister Abdulmuslim Abdulmuslimov reported on the successful completion of the grape harvest season, setting a new record for the region. This year, farmers in the republic gathered 301.5 thousand tons of grapes, an increase of 6% over last year's total, with an average yield per hectare of 126 quintals. The head of government praised this achievement, pointing outn the potential of viticulture for both exports and the domestic market.

It is worth noting that the Republic of Dagestan accounts for 26% of Russia's total vineyard area, making it a major player in the viticulture industry. Viticulture represents a contemporary and promising avenue for investment, significantly contributing to the regional economy. Moreover, the prime minister highlighted other positive developments in the agricultural sector, such as the advancement of dairy farming and animal husbandry.

Data on the rise in tax credits to the budget derived from producers of alcohol-based beverages was also provided. Over the first nine months of the current year, this amounted to approximately RUB 5.6 billion, representing an increase of 15% compared to the corresponding period in 2023.
