The event is being organized by the Federal Agricultural Research Center of the Republic of Dagestan within the framework of the 25th Russian Exhibition of Pedigree Sheep and Goat, which will take place in the city of Kaspiysk on May 15-17.

Over a hundred lots have already been announced for the forthcoming auction. Leading breeding farms from across Russia will participate in the event, showcasing a diverse range of meat, wool, and milk breeds of sheep and goats. Among the breeds showcased will be exemplary representatives of the Edilbaevskaya, Gissar, Dagestani Mountain, Lezgin and Tushin sheep breeds, as well as the Manych Merino and Lakoni breeds. Additionally, Zaanen goat breeds will be on display.

As to Nariman Nimatulaev, director of the FARC RD, there will be significant interest among buyers in yearling rams and mature ram producers. The auction is anticipated to provide a valuable opportunity for livestock breeders in Dagestan to enhance the genetic qualities of their herds.
