The Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Dagestan projects a substantial increase in the production of canned fruits and vegetables, forecasting a rise from 17 million standard cans in 2024 to 21.4 million cans in 2025.

This positive outlook is supported by strong production figures from January to October of this year, during which regional enterprises processed 1.3 thousand tons of raw materials to produce 13.3 million cans of juices, nectars, purees, and other preserved goods.

According to the Ministry, this growth trajectory is a direct result of strategic government support, which has facilitated the reactivation of idled enterprises and the modernization of existing plants. Key modernization projects completed with state assistance include:

•    LLC "Shirvan": Upgraded its facilities for the production of juices and nectars.
•    SPPC "Nusi" and LLC "POSH": Modernized their workshops for producing canned goods and dried vegetables.

This targeted investment strengthens Dagestan agro-industrial sector and boosting its output of value-added food products.
