In the conditions of sanctions, the Republic of Dagestan has increased trade and economic relations with the countries of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC). Thus, in 2022 the trade turnover of Dagestan with the Islamic world countries increased by 66%, mainly at the expense of exports (an increase by 2.3 times). The republic maintains trade relations with more than 70 countries, including Turkey, Iraq, China and far abroad. Up to 77% of the republic's exports go to various countries, including Iran, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Afghanistan, UAE, Lebanon and Jordan.
