The Republic of Dagestan gets prepared for the implementation of the Federal State Information and Analytical System of Breeding Resources, which will become the primary system for registering breeding animals starting January 1, 2025.  This initiative was discussed during a meeting at the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of Dagestan, attended by the representatives of leading breeding farms.

A significant advancement introduced by FSIAS BR is the mandatory verification of dairy cattle lineage through DNA analysis. This practice will enhance the precision of pedigree determination and elevate the quality of breeding stock.  Confirmation of origin will be a prerequisite for farms seeking the designations "Breeding plant" or "Breeding producer".

Experts anticipate that the adoption of FSIAS BR and DNA methodologies will yield several benefits, including:

* Enhanced efficiency in breeding programs
* Superior quality of breeding materials
* Reinforcement of Dagestan's standing within the Russian livestock breeding sector

It is projected that the utilization of these advanced technologies will empower Dagestani livestock breeders to increase the productivity and market competitiveness of their products.
