KEMZ Concern plant in Dagestan has nearly completed the assembly of the third prototype for its MAI-411 Alfa-KM four-seat twin-engine aircraft. This follows the successful assembly of two previous prototypes.

According to Dagestan Ministry of Industry and Trade, limited production is projected to commence in 2026, with full-scale manufacturing anticipated by 2027. The Alfa-KM demonstrably surpasses its predecessor, the MAI-411, as well as comparable aircraft produced domestically and internationally, in terms of flight performance.

Key technical specifications include a cruising speed of 250 km/h, a range of 1600 km, a maximum altitude of 3 km and a maximum takeoff weight of 1250 kg. The utilization of composite materials has resulted in a 250 kg weight reduction compared to the previous model. Future plans encompass the development of several Alfa-KM variants, including models capable of landing and taking off from water and snow-covered surfaces.
