Approximately RUB 550 million were allocated for the power grid maintenance in Dagestan last year. The work was undertaken by the engineers of Rosseti North-Caucasus, a leading energy company. In 2023, Rosseti North Caucasus invested approx. RUB 550 million rubles in the restoration and maintenance of the regional energy infrastructure.

These investments allowed to repair over 800 kilometers of power lines, as well as to renew 400 kilometers of aging lines, 5000 malfunctioning supports and nearly 7500 broken or deteriorated insulators.

It is worth noting that Dagestan is set to commence the construction of Nogay solar power plant soon, which will be integrated into Derbent Solar Energy System (SES) and generate approximately 60 megawatts of power annually.
