By 2027 Dagestan authorities plan to complete the renewal of infrastructure in JSC "Makhachkala Commercial Sea Port", the Prime Minister of the region Abdulmuslim Abdulmuslimov says.

As to Abdulmuslimov the infrastructure renovation is important for prompt cargo handling and transshipment increase. According to the port's deputy director Khadzhi-Murad Abashilov, as part of the renovation, a work on the construction of inspection buildings of control bodies, a warehouse for temporary storage of goods for customs and the cargo inspection complex is underway.

"Besides, a railway sorting terminal will be constructed on the territory of the port. The total investments are estimated at approx.  billion rubles" - Abashilov said. The inspection complex will allow to scan cargoes without unloading goods from vehicles, including containers, due to which the cargo traffic will significantly speed up.

According to RBC Company, Makhachkala Commercial Sea Port JSC was registered in Makhachkala in 2016. The general director is Rustam Kerimov. For 2022, the company brought the revenue volume to 763.5 million rubles and net profit - to 83.8 million rubles. As reported earlier, Makhachkala Commercial Sea Port increased cargo transshipment by 13.5% up to 2.5 million tons in January-October 2023.
