Dagestan to receive RUB 1.8 billion for waste management and sorting


The Russian environmental agency has announced plans to allocate 1.85 billion rubles to create two waste management facilities in the Republic of Dagestan by mid-2024. According to the press release from the agency, the funds will be used to construct two new facilities in the Derbent and Khasavyurtovsky municipal districts.

The facilities are expected to have a capacity of 120 and 150 tons each, respectively. These facilities will include processing and disposal facilities that will be completed by the end of the year. The sorting capacity of the complexes is estimated to be 200 and 250 tons per year, respectively.
