In early January, a fire broke out at the poultry processing plant of Batyr-Broiler, LLC, located in Khasavyurtovsky district of Dagestan. The facility processed up to 28,000 tons of poultry annually, making it a significant contributor to the poultry industry in the region.

The local Ministry of Agriculture and Food swiftly responded to the incident, stating their intention to implement temporary measures aimed at ensuring a steady supply of poultry products in the local market and preventing any potential price hikes. To accomplish this, they urged retail chains operating within the republic to actively engage in the procurement and distribution of poultry products within their respective territories.

Mukhtarbiy Adzhekov, the head of the Ministry, underscored the importance of their collaboration with relevant authorities from the neighboring regions in addressing issues related to the export of day-old chicks and poultry products.
