Dagestan farmers will supply grape cuttings to the Crimean peninsula and Krasnodar Krai. According to the Viticulture and Wine Regulation Committee of Dagestan, the region has achieved full self-sufficiency in its own production of vine cuttings. It is projected that by the year 2024, over 5.5 million grafted cuttings of diverse grape varieties will be produced.
In the previous year, the regional farmers dispatched more than 400 thousand cuttings to Crimea. This year they aim to increase this number to 840 thousand. Additionally, it is planned to supply 500 thousand pieces to Krasnodar territory.
