Dagestani farm launches production sheep's cheese with unique flavour

The Vozrozhdenie farm, located in Kazbekovsky municipal district of the republic, is home to hundreds of sheep of the rare foreign breeds such as Lakon and Ost-Fries. This farm specializes in the production of exquisite sheep's cheese, which retains all the beneficial properties of sheep's milk. These cheeses are rich in amino acids, microelements and contain more protein than meat, making them a unique and nutritious product.

It takes almost four liters of sheep's milk to make one kilogram of sheep's cheese, and it takes about a month for the cheese to mature. However, its true flavor develops in the course of three months. Apart from cheese production, the Sadykov family also crafts blankets from sheep wool. Dzhamilya Sadykova, used to create these blankets by hand, but now she has acquired a sewing machine, significantly speeding up the process.
