Daghestan intends to cooperate with Minsk in trade-economic and agro-industrial sectors

Makhachkala, June 10, 2014. Dagestan is going to cooperate with Minsk in trade-economic and agro-industrial sectors, Daghestani minister of trade, investment and enterprise Yusup Umavov confessed, summarizing the First Belarus-Russia regional Forum.
Telling about the Forum, Yusup Umavov noted that Daghestan delegation held a meeting with Leonid Zaytsev, the Belarusian minister of agriculture and food in Minsk. Within the meeting, Daghestan delegation presented investment opportunities of Daghestan and discussed directions of cooperation in trade, investment and entrepreneurship policy, as well as in the field of agriculture and industry.
"By results of the meeting, we have agreed on joint investment projects with the Belarusian side. Today our republic is using a sufficiently large number of Belarusian agricultural machinery, in this regard, we can build a plant for its assembly in Daghestan "- the minister noted.
Umavov pointed out that in late July, Daghestan ministry of trade, investment and business plans to invite colleagues from Belarus in Makhachkala.
"Following the Forum, we have come to a consensus on the need to organize a meeting with the business communities on both sides, including the representatives of small and medium-sized enterprises within the framework of Cooperation Agreement between the Republic of Daghestan and the Republic of Belarus", - the minister said.
Daghestani minister also added that the opening of representative offices of “Trading House “Dagestan” OJSC in Belarus had been agreed during the negotiations.
Let us remind that the First Belarus-Russia regional forum was chaired by the chairman of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus Anatoly Rubinov and the chairman of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of Russia Valentina Matvienko.
The main goal of the Forum was to develop agro-industrial complexes of Russia and Belarus and to arrange partnerships relations between two neighboring countries. For this purpose, the Forum was attended by delegations from 21 regions of the Russian Federation.
At the forum Daghestan was represented by the deputy of Daghestan Prime Minister Arthur Sibekov, Daghestan minister of trade, investment and enterprise Yusup Umavov, Daghestan minister of agriculture and food Battal Battalov, the deputy minister of industry, energy and transport Magomedtagirov Gimbatov and CEO of "Dagagrosnab" Chamsutdin Mutuev .
