Daghestan representative participate in the International "Marine Tourism" forum in St. Petersburg

Makhachkala, July 2, 2014. Deputy Chairman of Daghestan Committee on Tourism Abdul Yarakhmedov attended the VI International "Marine tourism" forum in Saint Petersburg on June 26-27, a spokesman reports.
The Forum gathered more than 300 delegates from 40 regions of Russia and 10 foreign countries to exanimate the public bills and initiatives of legislative and executive power in the field of maritime and river tourism and related industries, to promote the most promising projects and to exchange experience with colleagues from Russia and abroad.
The Russian Political Party "Edinaya Rossiya" within the party project "Saint-Petersburg - the Sea Capital of Russia" plays the role of social arbiter and operator feedback between the state and those who work in the field of boating. The International "Marine tourism" forum is annually held in St. Petersburg.
It was initiated by the Ministry of Culture, Ministry of Transport, the Federal Tourism Agency, Federal Agency of Maritime and River Transport and other relevant ministries and agencies, as well as the regional authorities of subjects of the Russian Federation responsible for the water tourism development.
The main outcome of the forum will become the resolution being forwarded to the relevant committees of the upper and lower chambers of Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation, the ministries and agencies and the Russian Government and for improving legislation and government regulation in the sphere.
Within the Forum Abdul Yarakhmedov met with the deputy Minister of Sport and Tourism of the Astrakhan region Tatiana Porubleva. Both parties discussed cooperation prospects in organization of cruise and yacht tourism in the Caspian Sea with participation of Astrakhan region, Daghestan and Azerbaijan.
"Astrakhan region has already laid considerable groundwork in development of issues related to the boating sector, so we agreed to meet and discuss them further. Perhaps Kazakhstan will close the cruise path. This is only a crude idea, but we have already had considerable groundwork in general. I went to the Forum to get familiarized with yachting business. The cruise tourism is also interesting for us and our territory as a tool to attract tourists to our republic"- Yarakhmedov concluded.
