According to the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of Dagestan, approximately 13,000 hectares of land have been allocated for the cultivation of a specific unspecified crop within the republic. Khasavyurt municipal district leads in terms of acreage allocated, with 3,400 hectares allocated to this crop.  Derbent follows with 1,400 hectares, while Kizlyar has a bit over 900 hectares. Novolaksky and Gumbetovsky districts each contribute 700 hectares.

Despite Dagestan's classification as a region of "risky agriculture" due to water scarcity, as highlighted by Sharip Sharipov, the first deputy Minister of Agriculture and Food of Dagestan, the republic has demonstrated resilience in agricultural production.  Many crops have not only maintained the previous year's yield but have also shown positive growth trends.
