Construction of a 60-megawatt solar power plant has begun in Nogai municipal district of Dagestan, representing a RUB 5.4 billion investment. On-site, assembly of a 110 kV substation is nearly complete, support structures are being erected and the first solar panels are being installed. The facility, which is economically viable in sun-rich Dagestan, is expected to generate about RUB 40 million in annual tax revenue and will supply surrounding consumers with clean energy during daylight hours, a priority for the region's energy development.
