As of beginning of 2024, the loan portfolio of business in the Republic of Dagestan amounted to more than 36 billion rubles, increasing by 21.3% over the year. Since 9 January 2024, the Bank of Russia has increased the aggregate limit of the mechanism to support lending to small and medium-sized businesses from 288 to 320 billion rubles. The participating banks may provide investment loans up to 100 billion robles across the country this year.

"The preferential programs help to support small businesses lending. They allow entrepreneurs to reduce the credit burden while maintaining the availability of funds borrowed" - Murad Idrisov, the head of the Bank of Russia's office in the Republic of Dagestan said.
