A waste sorting complex and waste disposal facility will be built in Derbentsky municipal district of Dagestan in 2024 under the national project "Ecology". The capacity of the complex will reach 200 thousand tons per year. The capacity of the landfill for disposal of wastes of IV-V hazard classes will make 120 thousand tons. The first stage of the project envisages the construction of a waste sorting shop for processing all types of secondary raw materials - plastic, cardboard and aluminum. In total, three waste sorting complexes with a total capacity of 950 thousand tons per year are planned to be built in the region in Khasavyurtovsky, Kumtorkalinsky and Derbentsky districts.
