The e-commerce sector in Dagestan demonstrates rapid development. Online trade turnover for the first half of 2025 grew by 89%.

Retail trade turnover reached RUB 690.8 billion, exceeding last year's figure by 1.1%. In terms of retail trade volume, Dagestan ranks second in the North Caucasian Federal District and holds the 17th position in the national ranking. The catering sector also shows steady growth, with a turnover of 99.2 billion rubles during the reporting period, which is 0.6% higher than the previous year.

In terms of catering development, the region ranks first in the North Caucasus and seventh nationwide. The online trade market volume reached RUB 38.1 billion, accounting for 8.7% of the total retail turnover.

Over two thousand marketplace pickup points are successfully operating in the republic. More than three thousand fair events were held across the republic, along with sixty-three seasonal platforms for the sale of farm products, enabling farmers to sell fruit and vegetable products directly to consumers.
