A 5-kilometer section of the road "Gunibskoye Shosse - Vantashevsky Pass" is being repaired in Dagestan. According to the regional Transport Ministry, the section is one of the most popular tourist routes and the shortest way to such tourist sites as Saltinsky Waterfall, Karadakh Gorge, Kahib Ghost Aul and Goor Defensive Towers.

As part of the overhaul, work is underway to widen and strengthen the base of the roadbed, provide drainage and reinforce the shoulders. Fencing will also be installed along the sides of the road. The capital repair is expected to be completed by the end of November this year.
