In Dagestan, the value of tourist services exceeded RUB 20.2 billion in 2024, representing an increase of RUB 2.647 billion compared to 2023. This rapid growth in tourist traffic has become a significant driver for regional economic development, contributing to the generation of new employment opportunities and the enhancement of small and medium-sized businesses in tourism and hospitality sectors.

The tourism has emerged as a key growth driver in the economic landscape of the North Caucasian Federal District, with the region's investment portfolio in tourism having expanded by more than half within the past year. The investments in tourism-related projects in the Northern Caucasus are expected to reach over RUB 1 trillion by 2030.

By 2030 the number of visitors to the Northern Caucasian regions will reach an impressive 14.5 million, requiring approximately 78,500 rooms in collective accommodation.
