In Derbent, archaeologists have discovered ancient plates and coins dating back to the XVII-XVIII centuries, Veliyulla Fataliyev, director of Derbent State Historical and Archaeological Museum-Reserve says.
According to the historian, archaeologists found four plates: Chinese, Persian and two of local production. Scientists believe that they could have been used by Fatali-khan.
Besides, during the excavations scientists found coins of XVII-XVIII centuries and more than 100 fragments of various objects of that time: pieces of jug and other elements of everyday life. It is noted that the findings will allow researchers to get more information about the residents of Derbent and other areas of Dagestan in XII-XVIII centuries.
