On August 24, the republic will host the official opening of the annual All-Russia action "Night of Cinema". This large-scale project, carried out by the Ministry of Culture of Russia with the support of the Cinema Foundation is held in Russia and abroad for the ninth time.

The Night of Cinema is an opportunity to see the most successful domestic films for free, to get familiarized with the works of contemporary filmmakers and new trends in the film industry.

In Makhachkala, Cinema Night events will be held at the summer platform of Dagestan State Philharmonic Society and at the open-air platform of the Poetry Theater. Other cities of the republic will also take part in the event. Screenings will be held at the Sulak cinema in the city of Kizilyurt and at the Rodina cinema in the village of Nizhneye Kazanishche, Buynaksky municipal district.
