Moscow to host concert dedicated to 2000 anniversary of Derbent
Makhachkala, October 23, 2015. On November 5, the State Kremlin Palace will host a gala concert dedicated to the 2000th anniversary of Dagestan city of Derbent.
The musical and theatrical chronicle entitled “Potter’s ring: from Derbent fortress to the gates of the Kremlin" will acquaint visitors with the old history of the city.
The performance will consist of seven episodes, reflecting the most significant events: the construction of fortress, the construction of the Great Wall, the unification of the peoples speaking different languages, the birth of a distinctive and rich culture, the friendship with Russia. The audience will see the recreated image of Dagestani land, which after numerous trials come to unity and peace.
The concert attendees will have a unique chance to "look" into the wonderful world of the ancient Derbent, to join its history and culture. The audience can expect a unique two-hour show with the use of modern technologies, the 3d-projection and stereo sound, the great perfomance of theater actors accompanied by a symphony orchestra and an orchestra of folk instruments.
Noteworthy, the musical-theatrical chronicle was first shown on the official celebration Day of the 2000th anniversary of Derbent, on September 19, 2015. Then the city was visited by more than 5 thousand people, including the guests from 40 regions of Russia and foreign countries.
The celebratory events in Derbent were attended by the head of Dagestan Ramazan Abdulatipov, the deputy Prime Minister RF Alexander Khloponin, the deputy Chairman of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly RF Ilyas Umakhanov, the presidential envoy to the North Caucasus Federal District Sergey Malikov, the Minister for Affairs of Northern Caucasus Lev Kuznetsov, the presidential advisor Vladimir Tolstoy, the State Duma deputies, the members of the Public Chamber of Russia, the representatives of the Presidential Administration, the heads of federal departments and other officials.
