Since 2022, the Republic of Dagestan has been actively pursuing significant investment initiatives aligned with the objectives of the nation's Digital Economy project. Within a span of just three years, a total of ten investment projects have been successfully implemented.

For instance, a facility for the manufacture of glass beads has been commissioned, and efforts have been made to expand a workshop focused on producing glass containers that meet European standards in the village of Dagestanskie Ogni. In the vicinity of Derbent, a grape processing facility has been constructed and the cultivation of ultra-intensive orchards commenced. Meanwhile, in Makhachkala, production facilities for the production of medical oxygen and dry building mixtures have been launched.

In the realm of agriculture and industry, a second phase of a greenhouse facility for year-round cultivation of tomatoes was constructed in the rural settlement of Shamkhal-Termen, while a storage facility for vegetables with a capacity of 5000 tons was put into operation in the vicinity of Dzhepel village. Furthermore, in the service sector, an eatery catering to fast food enthusiasts under the KFC brand was established and a leisure center known as Peach Island was constructed in Chirkey village.

Five additional significant projects are currently in progress within the republic, encompassing the construction of an Ozon warehouse in Makhachkala, a wind farm in Novolakski municipal district, a tourist and recreational complex and an industrial construction complex in Kaspiysk. Additionally, efforts are underway to cultivate orchards producing apples and hazelnuts, accompanied by the development of a state-of-the-art fruit storage facility capable of accommodating up to fifty thousand tons.

The National Digital Economy project was designed to expedite the integration of digital technologies into the economic and social fabric, fostering an environment conducive to the flourishing of high-tech enterprises. Its objectives include enhancing Russia's global competitiveness, bolstering national security and elevating the standard of living for its citizens. This ambitious endeavor spanned the period from 2019 to 2024, with the implementation of updated national projects commencing in 2025 under the leadership of the President  V.Putin.
