In 2024, Dagestan authorities allocated 667 million rubles to implement 9 investment projects as part of the national project “Tourism and Hospitality Industry”, Emin Merdanov, the regional minister of tourism and folk-art crafts of the republic says.

Besides, in the forthcoming three-year period, Dagestan anticipates receiving up to RUB 522 million for the advancement of its tourism sector within the framework of the national project «Tourism and Hospitality». According to Merdanov, the projected annual allocation will amount to approximately RUB 174 million rubles.

These funds will be utilized to support both public initiatives and projects initiated by legal entities and individual entrepreneurs aimed at fostering the development of tourism infrastructure and organizing events. Additionally, Dagestan has applied for additional funding under a federal program aimed at the construction of prefabricated hotel facilities, with an allocation of RUB 5 billion from 2025 to 2027.
