The costs for the road maintenance and transport complex development in Dagestan in 2023 amounted to 17.6 billion rubles, the regional Ministry of Transport and Roads reports. In total amount, 2.9 billion rubles came to the region from the federal budget.

In 2023, 19.8 km of roads and six bridges were built and reconstructed. The other 615 km of roads and six bridge structures were overhauled. As part of the transportation complex development program, the region launched a regular bus route from Makhachkala to the airport, purchased new small-sized vehicles and 47 buses for passenger transportation within the capital of Dagestan.

Federal funds were used to bring 130 kilometers of roads in the region to standard condition within the framework of the national project "Safe and Quality Roads".
