In the next two years, Dagestan authorities plan to repair roads on 23 tourist routes. According to the regional Ministry of Transport, works on 23 objects with the total length of 121.6 km will be carried out in 2024 and 2025. The total cost of the project will exceed RUB 5 billion.

"The Ministry of Transport prioritizes the maintenance and development of highways along the republican tourist routes, including road safety issues. In 2022-2023, 43 sections of regional roads coinciding with tourist routes, with a total length of 225.9 kilometers, will be brought up to standard. RUB 5.1 billion have been allocated for these purpose" – the Ministry officer says.

These measures are aimed at improving the infrastructure and increasing the attractiveness of tourist routes in Dagestan, which will make the republic even more attractive for the travelers.
