The recent amendments to Dagestan's agricultural development law are designed to broaden the scope of state support within the sector. This expanded support now encompasses organizations and individual entrepreneurs involved in the production of animal feed, food additives, enzyme preparations and veterinary medicines.

Asiyat Aliyeva, Chairperson of Dagestan People's Assembly Committee on Agrarian Issues, elaborated on the bill's details, highlighting the inclusion of a new article focused on developing farm product market infrastructure. This provision is anticipated to enhance the financial and economic stability of entities within the agro-industrial complex, particularly in rural Dagestan.

Dagestan authorities prioritize farmer support initiatives, which are demonstrably yielding positive outcomes. Notably, agricultural production volume reached 252.3 billion rubles by the end of 2024, reflecting a 6.1% increase compared to the previous year.

Land reclamation projects have been successfully implemented across 11,000 hectares, and significant strides have been made in horticulture, with new orchards established on over 1,000 hectares, including intensive plantations. Record harvests of rice (159,000 tons) and grapes (301,500 tons) further attest to the effectiveness of the implemented measures.
