The Republic of Dagestan, along with Ingushetia and North Ossetia, has been selected to participate in the Federal Pilot Program for the Development of Energy and Housing and Utilities Enterprises. More than RUB 3.6 billion has been allocated for the implementation of regional program under this project.

According to the Prime Minister of the Russian Federation, Mikhail Mishustin, the pilot project has already produced positive results: there has been an increase in the payment discipline of the population, an increase in the salaries of industry specialists and an improvement in the state of municipal infrastructure.

Mishustin expressed confidence that the implementation of the project would improve the quality of life for citizens, make the Northern Caucasus more attractive to industrial investment and lay the groundwork for sustainable economic growth in the region. The prime minister tasked Alexander Novak, the vice-premier, to personally oversee the implementation of the project.
