Dagestan showcases potential to export wool products to various regions of Russia and other countries

The Prime Minister of the Republic of Dagestan, Abdulmuslim Abdumuslimov, has reported on the ongoing efforts to establish reliable supply chains, particularly in cooperation with the Republic of Belarus.
In his statement, the top official highlighted the substantial initiatives undertaken at the federal level to promote industry growth and foster a supportive environment for enterprises engaged in wool processing. Dagestan actively considers a project to launch the production of school uniforms crafted from natural wool specifically for the local educational institutions. Moreover, several other regions have expressed their interest in acquiring Dagestani wool products.
During a plenary session titled "The State, Challenges and Necessary Measures for the Development of Sheep Breeding" held at the 25th Russian Exhibition of Pedigree Sheep and Goats, Maxim Borovoy, Deputy Minister of Agriculture of the Russian Federation, underscored the critical importance of identifying the specific requirements of the wool industry.
«Agricultural producers are prepared to organize wool production on a bespoke basis and are capable of supplying the required quantities. In collaboration with the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation, we implement a wool roadmap, incorporating the necessary modifications based on the suggestions and recommendations provided by our producers. The work in this field is ongoing» - Borovoy stated.
