The construction of the main water pipeline "Kaitag-Derbent" in Dagestan for 1.3 billion rubles is planned to be completed in the first quarter of 2024, the regional Ministry of Construction, Architecture and Housing reports.

The construction of the southern water pipeline is implemented at the expense of the target program "Development of the North Caucasian Federal District".

"Currently, about 10 km (69% of the total length) of the pipeline has already been laid and delivered". The capacity of the water pipeline will make 25 thousand cubic meters of water per day, which is expected to provide water supply in round-the-clock mode to all consumers of Derbent.

The source of financing of all works is the federal budget with a share of co-financing from the budget of Dagestan.
