The Head of Dagestan, Sergei Melikov, met with Kazem Jalali, the Iranian Ambassador to Russia. The parties discussed key areas of bilateral cooperation, identifying several points to strengthen mutually beneficial ties in the future.

Melikov received proposal to explore the feasibility of establishing a ferry service between Makhachkala, the capital of Dagestan and Iranian ports. Additionally, there are plans to launch joint agricultural projects and foster tourism development.

Following the meeting, Melikov expressed gratitude to the Iranian delegation, wishing them fruitful work and successful outcomes during their visit to the region.
