The prime minister of the Republic of Dagestan Abdulmuslim Abdulmuslimov visited the "Dagdiesel Plant" JSC located in Kaspiysk.
The JSC "Dagdiesel Plant" was one of the leading Russian enterprises producing underwater weapons. Its history dates back to 1932. The plant was built specifically for the production and supply of underwater naval weapons to the Russian Navy and nowadays it is practically the only serial plant in Russia. In 1948 the plant mastered a new type of production - diesel engine parts. With this the plant was renamed to "Dagdiesel" in 1966. The enterprise produces various types of defense and civilian products.
Together with the director general of the Tactical Missile Armament Corporation Boris Obnosov and director general of JSC "Dagdiesel Plant" Alexander Zverev the prime minister toured the production lines of the enterprise, after which a meeting was held to discuss issues of the plant's development.
During the inspection of production workshops Abdulmuslim Abdulmuslimov spoke to the factory workers, who told the top official about some problematic issues. In particular, they raised the problem of insufficient level of utilization of production capacities, shortage of young personnel, low wages, the need to upgrade some equipment, etc. The Prime Minister promised to voice the problems during a bilateral meeting with the head of the enterprise, as well as to work out measures of support from the regional Government.
“The regional government provides possible financial support measures. In 2023, the plant will receive a subsidy of 20 million rubles to reimburse part of the costs associated with the purchase of new equipment" - the head of the Cabinet of Ministers said.
