In 2023 Dagestan spends 17.6 billion rubles on transport complex development

In 2023, Dagestan invested 17.6 billion rubles in the development of its transport complex within the framework of the state target program "Development of transport complex of the Republic of Dagestan". Of this amount, 2.9 billion rubles were allocated from the federal budget. This was announced by Dagestan's Minister of Transport and Roads Dzhambulat Salavov during the final meeting.
"Due to these investments, 19.8 km of roads and 6 bridges were built and reconstructed, and 615.8 km of roads and 6 bridges were overhauled. The scheduled road works are also underway on 41 sites by 2025. In 2023, new bus routes, including the inter-municipal route Kaspiysk - Makhachkala - Leninkent, were opened, and 47 large class buses were purchased", - Salavov said.
The top official also announced the implementation of measures on the second stage of reconstruction of Makhachkala airport, as well as taking measures to organize direct regular air service between the Republic of Dagestan and Azerbaijan.
It is also reported that within the framework of the meeting the problems of weight and size control of vehicles were discussed, including the idea of introduction of special automated complexes for recognition of registration marks to combat violations.
