A conference dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the People’s Assembly of the Republic of Dagestan (regional legislative body) has started in the National Library in Makhachkala. The event brought together delegates from various regions of Russia and guests from Azerbaijan, including members of parliament, representatives of youth parliaments and journalists.

In his welcoming address, Zaur Askenderov (the Parliament Speaker), underlined the importance of interparliamentary dialogue in promoting the exchange of experiences, addressing common challenges and improving the legislative framework. The top official highlighted the role of the People’s Assembly as a representative body for citizens’ interests, contributing to the advancement of regional and international cooperation.
