As part of the state program for the development of the Northern Caucasus, the construction of the Kaitag-Derbent water pipeline is underway. This will modernize the water supply system in Derbent municipal district. Sergey Nazarov, the Deputy Minister of Economic Development of Russia, has inspected the ongoing construction of a 30-kilometer water pipeline. As of now, more than half of the works on the pipeline have been completed. The commissioning is scheduled for the end of 2025.
