Dagestan government has ambitious plans for social infrastructure development, aiming to commission over 15 facilities by the end of 2025.  These projects include three new kindergartens and more than ten schools.

This announcement follows an inspection of three under-construction schools in Karabudakhkentsky district by Abdulmuslim Abdulmuslimov, the regional prime minister. The newly built schools are projected to accommodate over 5,000 kids.

Abdulmuslimov highlighted the comprehensive inventory of all school buildings and kindergartens conducted in 2021 at the direction of Sergei Melikov, Head of Dagestan. This initiative facilitated the identification of facilities requiring modernization.

Significant progress has been made in recent years, with approximately 60% of schools undergoing renovations, including new construction and repairs of dilapidated structures.  Abdulmuslimov emphasized that over 100 social facilities have been commissioned in recent years, underscoring the ongoing commitment to national projects. The top official expressed satisfaction with the quality of construction observed during the school visits, while acknowledging minor issues requiring rectification.

The government maintains a current database encompassing the status of all schools and kindergartens, enabling informed decision-making regarding repairs or new constructions.
