On May 23 - 25, 2024, Kaspiysk will host the XXIV Russian exhibition of breeding sheep and goats. According to the regional Ministry of Agriculture and Food, more than 65 breeding farms from 11 Russian regions, including 26 from Dagestan, have expressed their intention to take part in the event.

Another 14 regions, including Adygea, Bashkiria, Buryatia, Ingushetia, North Ossetia-Alania, Tatarstan, Tyva, Khakassia, Chechnya, Zabaikalsky Krai, Saratov and Orenburg regions, announced their participation without exhibition animals.

The official delegations of the Federation Council of the Russian Federation, the leadership of the Ministry of Agriculture and the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia, the representatives of governments and agro-industrial complex management bodies of a number of regions, the leadership of the National Union of Sheep Breeders are expected to arrive.

Within the framework of the exhibition, a scientific and practical conference as well as several roundtables will be held to discuss issues related to increasing sheep meat productivity, supplying mutton to domestic and international markets and producing and selling wool.
