New berths commissioned at Caspian Flotilla base in Dagestan


Four berths have been built in Dagestan at the Caspian Flotilla's new base. Besides, according to the Russian Defense Ministry, a 150-bed hospital is under construction in Dagestan town of Kaspiysk. It will serve military personnel, their families and civilians. It will provide modern medical services and perform surgical procedures.

The construction of this facility is linked to the increasing military activity in the region and the need to provide quality medical care for soldiers and their families. Together with the new berthing facilities, it will improve the infrastructure and combat readiness of the Caspian Flotilla.

The creation of new facilities will also contribute to the development of the region's social infrastructure and improve the quality of life for the local residents. The hospital consists of a polyclinic, treatment and diagnostic departments, an infectious diseases department and infrastructure facilities.
