Representatives of more than 15 Muslim countries gather in Dagestan for educational conference

An International Scientific and Practical Conference titled "Towards Effective and Sustainable Improvement of the Quality of Education" is currently underway in Makhachkala, Dagestan. The conference has drawn delegates from over 15 Muslim nations, representing a diverse range of countries including Saudi Arabia, Oman, Bahrain, the United Arab Emirates, Kuwait, Jordan, Serbia, Malaysia, Egypt, Palestine, Qatar, Lebanon, Niger, Bangladesh, Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan.
Alongside international participants, representatives from over 25 Russian regions and CIS countries are also present. The conference focuses on addressing contemporary educational challenges, exploring emerging technologies, and outlining concrete strategies for advancing the educational landscape in Dagestan.
In his opening address, the regional governor Sergei Melikov pointed out that the development of the education sector was fundamental to the well-being of the region and its people. The top executive also highlighted the ongoing collaboration between Dagestan State Pedagogical University and Muhammad bin Zayed University of Humanities, expressing optimism regarding the strengthening of friendly relations between Dagestan and the United Arab Emirates.
