Representatives of Russian and Azerbaijani Interior Ministries meet in Derbent to discuss security issues

A special working group composed of representatives from the Internal Affairs Ministries of Russia and Azerbaijan convened in Derbent to coordinate collaborative efforts on the territories along state border.
The conference covered a wide range of bilateral cooperation areas, with a particular focus on maintaining public security, preventing extremism and terrorism, and countering transnational criminal organisations.
Following the discussions, the parties formalised their agreement by signing minutes of the meeting and a comprehensive plan detailing coordinated organisational and operational preventive measures to be implemented by the internal affairs agencies of Russia and the Azerbaijani police within the border area. The event culminated in a ceremony honouring outstanding contributions by individuals within their respective departments.
