This has been announced by the Head of Dagestan Sergei Melikov at a meeting on socio-economic development of the republic with participation of Maxim Reshetnikov, the Minister of Economic Development of the Russian Federation. It should be noted that the federal minister is currently on a working trip to the region.

The economic models for the development of constituent entities within the North Caucasian Federal District, which are based on the implementation of «breakthrough» investment projects, have contributed to enhancing investment attractiveness. These models were developed under the guidance of Maxim Gennadievich. At present, Dagestan is a region that is attractive for investment. However, despite the fact that there are numerous challenges, work in this area, particularly in terms of infrastructure development, should not only continue but also be intensified.

Since 2022, approximately RUB 61 billion have been attracted to the republic, including over RUB 38 billion of private investments and approximately 3,000 jobs have been created, the regional governor said.

Based on the results of 2023 and assessments by the Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation for 2024, Dagestan has emerged as the leader among the constituent entities of the North Caucasian Federal District in terms of implementing «breakthrough» projects. The region has accomplished a remarkable achievement of 100 percent in achieving key indicators and milestones.
