Zaur Askenderov, chairman of the People's Assembly of Dagestan, has announced plans to establish a training center for UAV operators. Both active military personnel and civilians willing to sign a contract with the Russian Ministry of Defense and join the special operation can receive training at the center, which will be based at one of the regional universities.

Askenderov stated that the center will open in 2024, and anyone will have the opportunity to learn operational skills free of cost. As to the regional parliament speaker, the funds for the project will be raised from extra-budgetary sources.
