Two new rice processing plants will be constructed in Dagestan in 2025. This has been announced by the republican Minister of Agriculture and Food Mukhtarbiy Adzhekov.

“In the past, we did not have a single rice processing plant, but now there are four in operation and two more are being built - in Kizlyar and Tarumovsky municipal districts. This direction is actively developing. In 2024, 34 thousand hectares will be allocated for rice cultivation in the republic, which is 1.8 thousand hectares more than last year. This direction is in demand among farmers, who are actively investing in rice production” the top official said.
