Last year, Dagestan achieved remarkable progress in its efforts to restore forests as part of the nationwide "Ecology" project. Over 250 hectares of forest were successfully revitalized within the republican borders. Additionally, preparations have been made for the planting of an additional 300 hectare, laying the groundwork for future tree growth.
The region's tree nurseries have further contributed to this endeavor, sowing 3 hectares with seeds specifically intended for forest restoration purposes and nurturing over 900,000 young seedlings. It is projected that by the year 2030, approximately 1.5 additional hectares of forests will be planted in Dagestan, with an estimated investment of approximately RUB 812 million allocated to this initiative.
