In 2024, 70 new tour guides and interpreter guides were certified in the Republic of Dagestan. Among them, a guide interpreter in sign language (for individuals with hearing impairments) was certified for the first time. These certifications bring the total number of certified professionals to 176, representing a 66 per cent increase in the number of certified tour guides in one year. This increase in the number of certified tour guides raises the level of professionalism in the field, contributing to higher quality tourism services that meet established standards.
