The Republic of Dagestan has seen a remarkable increase in its birth rate, with a rise of 13.4 percent, surpassing the national average by a substantial margin of 59.9 percent and the average for the North Caucasian Federal District by 8.1 percent. This development aligns with the objectives of the national Demography project.

During the first eleven months of 2024, a total of 39,675 births were registered, marking an increase of 1,199 compared to the same period in 2023, resulting in a population growth of 8.7 percent. This figure significantly exceeds the national average, highlighting the exceptional nature of this achievement.

This year, the regional implementation of the nationwide «Family» project commenced. Its objective is to establish a comprehensive support system for families with children. The goal is to enhance the well-being of both parents and children, encompassing support for extended families, low-income households, families with children with disabilities and elderly citizens.

The primary goals of the National Demographic Project are to provide support for families with children, enhance healthy life expectancy, decrease the mortality rate among the working-age population, foster a culture of health-conscious lifestyles within society and encourage individuals to eschew harmful habits and engage in regular physical activity.
