Due to an increased risk of wildfires, access to forested regions within the Republic of Dagestan will be limited from July 10th to July 30th, 2025. The decision was made based on the assessment of high fire hazard levels (IV and V) in certain regions of Dagestan.
This precautionary measure aims to prevent the spread of wildfires and protect the forested areas within Derbentsky, Kizlyarsky, Nogaysky, Tabasaransky, and Khasavyurt districts. Access to these forests will be restricted, including vehicular entry.
Several measures have been taken to mitigate the risks of wildfires. These include the establishment of checkpoints to monitor and control access, increased number of patrols in forested areas and public awareness campaigns to inform the locals about the current restrictions. Agencies are also on high alert and prepared to respond swiftly and effectively in case of any forest fires.
